The largest machine made rug manufacturer in the world, Oriental Weavers have just launched four brand new budget polypropylene rug ranges. Modern Rugs has been one of the first to introduce these new ranges to the UK market offering our customers an even bigger selection of fantastic value rugs.

Based in Egypt, Oriental Weavers have a fantastic reputation for producing great quality machine made rugs for markets all over the world. Modern Rugs has been selling their ranges in the UK for almost 2 years however these rugs have mostly been aimed at the middle to top end of the market with a large selection of traditional style designs. The four new ranges feature modern designs as well as shaggies and focus on giving customers fashionable hard wearing rugs with an affordable price tag.

The two new modern ranges have been named ‘Senses’ and ‘Blossom’. Both ranges are made with a 100% polypropylene pile which is very durable and easy to maintain, although the Senses is the slightly thicker quality of the two. These ranges are focused on bold designs and fashionable colour combinations such and brown / blue and cream / plum.

‘Aura’ and ‘Vienna’ are the names of the two new budget shaggy rug ranges. Both come in a selection of plain and patterned designs, are hard wearing and easy to maintain. ‘Aura’ is the cheaper of the two ranges with prices starting from just £39 including delivery whilst the ‘Vienna’ rugs start from a slightly higher price of £59 due to their thicker pile and use of silky polyester yarns giving a softer and more comfortable feel. We are also stocking hall runner sizes in both ranges with circular rugs coming later in the year.

Acrylic rugs have already been very popular with our customers due to the fact that they have a good quality thick pile with a nice feel and are excellent value for money.  We’ve therefore been keep to expand the range of acrylic rugs on our website for 2010 to give our customers an even bigger choice of stylish designs.

First up our most popular modern acrylic range ‘Harlequin’ has been completely re-vamped with 44 brand new designs on offer. The Harlequin rugs have always been known for their bold trend setting designs and superb use of colour whilst being available in a large range of sizes that are affordably priced. The 2010 Harlequin rugs stock to the same principal, with highly fashionable designs in a huge range of contemporary colours with prices from just £34.

The designers and manufacturers of the Harlequin rugs have also launched three other acrylic ranges for 2010 – Laya, Eden and Frame. The Laya range contain 3 modern designs each available in 3 different colour-ways. What makes the Laya rugs very distinctive is their use of colourful faux suede inserts within the pile which creates a beautiful effect with a great visual impact.

The new Eden collection is already looking like a top seller. Most designs in this range are inspired by exotic plant life with the exception of the ‘Pixel’ design which has a simple squares pattern with imaginative use of colour. Prices start from £34 with sizes going up to 200 x 300cm and a hallway runner size is also available.

The Frame rugs cater for those that are looking for something a little more plain and simple yet stylish. These rugs are available in 2 designs each in 4 colours, from browns and greys to bright greens and red rugs. The Frame rugs all have a plain centre with a stylish patterned border and are perfect for putting underneath your table.

Our Infinite range of acrylic rugs was also extremely popular in 2009. 2010 sees the addition of some brand new designs and colours. The best selling design in this range called ‘Damask’ is now available in two new colours, a black yellow and white mix along with a beige blue and teal mix. New designs include Cascade and Rosa which both feature a floral motif. The new radical design has a contemporary swirl pattern and comes in 4 colours including Aubergine which currently is very much in fashion. The final new addition to this range is Mono Black / White rug which has a highly contemporary ‘zebra’ pattern and comes in 4 sizes including a very large 190 x 290cm size.

The last new acrylic collection we have added for the beginning of 2010 is called Boogie Nights. The retro style designs in this range have been inspired by the 1970’s with their bold geometric shapes and use of vibrant colours. These rugs make a real statement on your floor and look fantastic however they are not for those with more reserved tastes.
