This week we have introduced our Forest Peak shaggy rugs. A luxurious 100% wool shaggy rug hand tufted in India. The pile is both thick and dense with a quality that would usually carry a price tag of over £150. These rugs are astonishing value at just £59 for a 120 x 180cm size in a plain light brown colour. We also have a plain black colour available in a 90 x 150cm size at just £39. And remember these prices include free delivery to your door within mainland UK.

When you think about Great Britain a whole host of things spring to mind…The Beatles, The Mini Cooper, Red Pillar Boxes, Big Ben, The Royal Family and of course the Union Jack. Our brand new ‘Jack’ rug is the latest must have home accessory and is the perfect way to display your patriotism and passion for being British, paying homage to everything that makes Britain truly great.

The FIFA World Cup always stirs up a strong surge of patriotism as we British are so passionate about football and the next 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa is just on the horizon. Designed with passion and pride the focus of the new ‘Jack’ rug has been to portray the Union Jack in a sophisticated and stylish way rather than just a straight forward copy of the standard flag which has the danger of looking slightly tacky. Therefore the ‘Jack’ designer rug features a section of our favorite flag with slightly toned down colours including a light beige rather than the standard bright white of the flag. October has seen us launch several new and innovative shaggy rug collections in our online shop. Shaggy rugs are always very popular as the winter approaches, with their ability to add warmth and comfort to any floor. So these new collections have arrived just in time to give our customers an even better selection of shaggy rugs this winter.

First up is the brand new Splendour patterned shaggy collection. The plain coloured Splendour rugs have been selling in our online shop for over a year now and have been an extremely popular choice for our customers. Their super fine 100% polyester pile makes them softest feeling shaggy rugs available anywhere and prices start at just £49 including delivery making them exceptional value also. The new patterned Splendour rugs have the same great pile but also feature two contemporary patterns (‘Shazam’ & ‘Shimmer’) in a number of colour combinations, some of which are very daring, such as the black and bright pink ‘Shazam’ zebra design, yet in the right setting will look absolutely stunning.

We have two other new collections of silky polyester shaggy rugs called ‘Fettuccini’ and ‘Twinkle’. The Fettuccini rugs are available in quite subtle tones of plain black, brown, burgundy and ivory white. Available from stock in two rectangular sizes and a 1.5m square size. There are very few square shaped shaggy rugs on the market yet there is a good demand so these rugs fill the gap in market very well. The Twinkle rugs have a thicker and denser pile than the Fettuccini but have the same shimmering strands and come in a selection of strong fashionable tones including pink, green, teal, plum and silver.

The next new range is called Arctic; a plain high quality 100% pure wool shaggy rug. The colours available in the Arctic range are quite neutral and are designed to blend with most decors rather than standing out. The quality and finish of these rugs is to a very high standard, an ideal rug for those looking for a very thick very heavy wool shaggy rug to snuggle into this winter.

The final new ranges are two new patterned shaggy rug collections called ‘Pure Design’ and ‘Eton Design’. The contemporary patterned designs in both of these ranges look stylish without being overly complex. The Eton Designs rugs feature a good quality polypropylene pile meaning they are durable and do not shed any fluff. One of our favourites is the ETD06 design which is grey with splashes of aubergine to accent the design.  The Pure Designs rugs feature a thicker polypropylene pile which is luxuriously soft, an ideal choice for customers looking for a very comfortable shaggy rug which hardwearing and easy to maintain.
